False Ceiling for Lighting
False ceilings are commonly used in modern home design to contain down lights or create additional lighting with hidden fluorescence tubes. These false ceilings may also cause the same issues as beams if it cuts across beds and sofas.
Solving Beam Issue
If you cannot avoid the beams in the room simply because the room size is too small to avoid the beams totally, you can choose to cover up all the beams with complete false ceiling. Some people are still worried that the beams above the false ceiling will still exert pressure beneath.
However, once you have understood why and how the beams results in pressure to people sleeping or sitting below them (refer to Illustration 1), you will also understand that flattening the surface of the ceiling with false ceiling will solve the energy diversion and pressures issue.
